A New Year, New Threads of Magic

A New Year, New Threads of Magic

A New Year, New Threads of Magic

A new year always feels a little bit like standing at the edge of a quiet forest—familiar, comforting, but full of paths you haven’t walked yet. As the calendar turns, I’ve been spending time reflecting on what I want this next season of making to feel like, both for myself and for Void & Vine.

This year isn’t about rushing. It’s about slow growth, thoughtful projects, and creating pieces that feel meaningful, cozy, and a little bit enchanted.

So I wanted to share a peek at some of the projects and ideas gently taking shape behind the scenes.

What’s Coming to Void & Vine

🌙 New Crochet Patterns & Heirloom Projects

One of my biggest focuses this year is developing more intentional crochet projects—pieces that feel like they’re meant to be kept, gifted, or passed down.

You can expect:

  • Textured blankets and throws, including celestial and botanical designs

  • Cross-stitch crochet motifs woven into blankets and home goods

  • Projects designed with worsted weight yarn for accessibility and comfort

These patterns will lean into simple stitches elevated by detail—symbols, spacing, and storytelling rather than complexity for complexity’s sake.

🧸 Plush & Familiar Designs

Plush toys will continue to be a heart of Void & Vine, but with a deeper focus on “cute, but quietly witchy.”

Upcoming plush projects may include:

  • Familiar-inspired animals with subtle magical details

  • Plush designs with story cards or adoption-style lore

  • Pieces sized and finished to feel special and collectible

These are the kinds of toys meant to sit on a shelf, guard a cozy corner, or be tucked into the arms of someone who needs a little comfort.

📓 Seasonal & Creative Projects

This year also opens the door to more seasonal releases and creative extras—projects that expand beyond crochet alone.

Ideas I’m exploring:

  • Seasonal collections inspired by moon cycles, herbs, and quiet rituals

  • Printable or stitched designs that blend craft and storytelling

  • Small, thoughtful releases instead of constant drops

Each project will be guided by the same intention: soft magic, slow making, and pieces that feel like they belong in everyday life.

Moving Forward Gently

Void & Vine has always been about creating in the in-between moments—between family life, quiet evenings, and the simple joy of working with your hands. That won’t change.

What will continue to grow is the care behind each project, the cohesiveness of each collection, and the sense that everything here is part of a larger, gently unfolding story.

Thank you for being here, for supporting handmade work, and for stepping into this new year with me. I’m excited to see what we create together—one stitch at a time.
